As we begin the transition into spring (I'm not sure we ever really had a "winter" here in Dallas), I'm looking to invest in some new pieces for my wardrobe. First on the list: a pencil skirt. It's a classic piece that works year-round. I own a black version (purchased from J.Crew years ago), and, while I love it, I'm looking for one with a little something more - a print, or a bright color perhaps. I love this neon pink DVF one! Here's a little round-up of some of my favorites.

As a working woman, I have a forced love affair with pencil skirts. That purple peplum skirt that has pockets is to die for!

I used to think that pencil skirt were not made for my lifestyle as a college student. But since I have tried them, I love them so much! Beautiful picks. My favorite would be the J.Crew one, followed probably by the Paul & Joe.

That first purple skirt is marvelous!! Whoever thought of that is genius! That anthropologie skirt (orange/camel) needs to be in my closet!!
